My J.Crew Favs....

Since the top two items that I love! retail for
over a grand each, I will be making my own
versions in the very near future.
I am also loving their Mini pant.
There are several versions including
solids, and a wool
which I will be picking up for fall.

Love this!

How great is this? If I had an extra $500
it would be mine. These are also available
in white for a lot less $$$.
Check them out here.

The magic of lucite

One of the sweetest people I know got married
on Saturday. It was beautiful. Of course,
it rained, we do live in Portland after all.
Here I am in all vintage, not intentional.

I love weddings. I cry every time I see a
bride walk down the aisle. Weddings are also
my most favorite places to show off my collection
of Lucite purses. The are getting harder
to find these days. Sometimes I get lucky
at an antique mall but mostly I don't see them
around like I used to.

New to me..

I found these pretties at my favorite local
thrift store the other day. I could
hardly believe it when they actually
fit my foot!!
Amalfi by Rangoni.
Amazing and a bit noisy when you walk.
For sure I won't be sneaking up on anybody in them.
I want to wear them with that Halston one
shoulder dress SJP wore in the last
Sex in the City movie.
Too bad I don't own it.

Rings of desire...

YSL cluster ring $195- amazing!

Kara Ross $150. Super big!

This Elizabeth and James elephant-$325, so lovely.

I think I will be dreaming of these for awhile,
perhaps until my birthday-hint hint.

All are available at Saks Fifth Avenue.

fab DIY

I love this DIY idea found over here.
I have a million of these jars hanging around.
This would be so great in my kitchen.

Forever 20-cute

I love bracelets.
I have lots of them, mostly vintage.
I have so many that I struggle with
where to keep them all.
Recently, I started putting them
in bowls and dishes.

I found this one the other day at Forever 21.
A perfect match for my love of all
things animal in the jewelry department.

How do you store your jewelry?

Latest obsession

I haven't had much luck with modern
wrap dress patterns. Most are designed for
knit fabrics.
I am currently obsessed with vintage patterns.
Like this one, I am madly in love
with but can't get my hands on.
I think this one is pretty similar.
I can't wait to make another one with
the ruffle trim. I took about an inch off
around the top neck line. I am pretty happy with how
it turned out.
I love this hummingbird print fabric I
found awhile back.
Lucky for me I somehow managed to
buy the right yardage without knowing
what it was going to be.
I love it when that happens.
